KANESHI or Kaneshishi
Ga language meaning "Under the Spot Light"
Highlife is a vibrant West African music genre that originated in Ghana (formerly the Gold Coast) in the late 19th century. It's a fusion of traditional Akan rhythms and Western musical influences, particularly those brought by colonialists, such as brass bands and jazz. The genre later spread to Nigeria and other West African countries, becoming popular throughout the region.

Sampling older culture and reusing it in a new context or a new format is called "flipping" in hip hop culture.[21] Hip hop music follows in the footsteps of earlier African-American-rooted and Latino musical genres such as blues, jazz, rag-time, funk, salsa, and disco to become one of the most practiced genres worldwide.
